Pratik Shinde

The Story

I'm Pratik, an abstract painter based in Pune. I work mainly in oils and acrylics, building up colour in thick layers with brushes and palette knives. Each painting starts from something I've noticed, like monsoon skies over the Western Ghats / the indigo of a dyer's vat / the colours of a busy market. I don't plan the finished image. Each layer responds to the one before it. I've been painting for 2 years. Every piece is an original, signed on the back.
